The second my girlfriend (and AMAZING diy'er) offered up this dresser, I jumped on it!! Honestly, saying I "jumped on it" is an obscene understatement! I was more like, "I can meet you now", even if my child and I were still in our pajamas - I really didn't care!
The top wasn't attached, the drawers were falling apart, and her and I both got a good laugh at the spiderwebs which were covering the underside. Again, we are DIY girls... We don't sweat the small stuff!
Since this cutie is small, I immediately knew it had to be a FUN color. A girly color. Obviously it had to be Tiffany blue.
After a good cleaning and a light sanding job, it was time to get to work. I cleaned the original hardware and painted the pulls the same shade as the dresser - as soon as they were dry, I roughed them up a bit with 120 sand paper, and an emery board (Girl's gotta work with what she knows!!)
I then primed it... Waited (impatiently for an hour) - then onto the spray paint!

I love this and am searching immediately for one to do the same!!!
ReplyDeleteYeah!! I'll keep my eyes peeled for you, too!! xoxo
