weathered wood Wal Mart mirror

Let's admit it... We all have one.... A piece of crap mirror.

No shame - but so shameful...

For this project you need these... And a staple gun.

Let's start with the tools!!
Piece of crap mirror - $4.97

I went to Home Depot and bought a 2 x 4 white board and had them cut it into 2 48" slats by two 17 1.4" - honestly, I can't deal with how well the employees at Home Depot are trained... I am in love with every employee!

I laid out the frame and adhered it with wood glue... I used my staple gun to lock the pieces in place, since I didn't have clamps.

Thank you, Lord for this sunshine day!!! As soon as the glue was closed, I Took the frame outside and brushed a coat of stain on.... One coat was enough - I used a brush and a foam as I wanted it to be textured.  Mission accomplished.

Enter "liquid nails".... After I tore the frame and paper backing off my sweet wal mart mirror, I used liquid nails to adhere it to the frame.

Obviously, I had no fancy clamps to weigh it down - so firewood has to do - and it did!

Love love love - for $15 and an afternoon! Xoxo
